About the role
An AI-enabled legal services firm is seeking a Senior Partner to help build its German practice. You will bring a strong, portable client portfolio, continue advising clients, and help move suitable recurring legal work into AI-supported workflows.
What You'll Do
- Help shape the firm's growth and contribute to its next stage of development.
- Continue serving your clients while transitioning suitable matters to the firm's legal technology platform.
- Build market credibility and develop relationships through your professional network.
- Identify opportunities to expand commercial and compliance services across your client base.
- Work with the founding team to automate recurring legal work using AI agents and related tools.
What We're Looking For
- 12 to 20 or more years of German legal practice, including partner-level experience at a respected law firm or boutique.
- German-qualified Volljurist admitted as a Rechtsanwalt, with native-level German and professional English.
- A substantial, diversified client portfolio that is personally portable, ideally with connections to private equity, venture capital, or mid-market businesses.
- Experience in recurring, automatable work such as commercial contracts, IT and data, corporate or venture capital, or regulatory matters.
- Hands-on experience using generative AI and legal AI tools, and a genuine interest in transforming legal practice with AI.
- Ability to transition client relationships and work without restrictive obligations that prevent the move.
- Compensation & Benefits
- Annual compensation is €200,000 to €300,000, with meaningful equity participation. Visa sponsorship is not available.
- Location
- Hybrid, based in Berlin, Germany.
